Suncliff on the Lake had just been purchased outside Derby, NY, when they contacted Insight. The new owners wanted to develop an old mansion into a new boutique hotel brand that offered a lounge, restaurant, rooms – a venue perfect for weddings and cultural workshops.

strategize.

Insight learned what Suncliff on the Lake was all about in the Discovery phase. The next phase allowed us to create the strategy what sets Suncliff on the Lake apart from so many other hotel venues.  A big differentiator was the owners vision of creating a unique cultural destination through their workshops. They wanted their guests not only to have a good time, but they wanted them to experience something meaningful at the same time. The vision was for guest to get a break from their everyday life and take a fresh breath of air in a beautiful venue called Suncliff on the Lake.  We helped the owners find their vision, values and what would differentiate themselves. “Build Your Own Experience”, was the tagline that spoke to the brand.

Key aspects developing the logo and visual identity was to create a mark that could be utilized across a range of different touch points. We wanted the logo to be contemporary, sophisticated and stand in time. The visual identity and the graphic materials produced strengthened this feeling.
